Weather Update: Cyclonic Activity in North India

According to the Meteorological Center, a cyclone is currently active in southwestern Rajasthan and the surrounding areas. Additionally, cyclonic winds are affecting southeastern Rajasthan, which is expected to influence weather patterns in other northern Indian states.

Weather Conditions in Delhi

The recent rain in Delhi has significantly impacted daily life. Strong winds have caused trees to fall in various locations, creating challenges for residents.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall today, and forecasts indicate that similar weather conditions will persist in the coming days, particularly for North and Central India.

Dust Storms and Rain Forecast

In addition to Uttar Pradesh, dust storms are anticipated in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan. These regions can expect intense rain accompanied by thunder, which may bring some relief from the heat experienced during the night.

Forecast for Madhya Pradesh

1. Reports from Madhya Pradesh indicate a gradual rise in temperatures, particularly at night, although daytime temperatures have only increased by 0.3 degrees, suggesting milder daytime conditions.

2. On Thursday, Gwalior recorded a minimum temperature of 25.5 degrees, with a maximum of 39.6 degrees. The Meteorological Center has noted that a new western disturbance is becoming active today.

3. As a result, the weather in this region is expected to change, with temperatures rising rapidly. On Friday, rain with thunderstorms and winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 km/h are forecasted, potentially creating dark skies.

4. Over the next 48 hours, a slight shift in temperature is anticipated. The Meteorological Center predicts possible light rain in areas such as Gwalior, Shivpuri, Datia, Bhind, Morena, and Sheopurkalan, accompanied by thunderstorms.

5. A thunderstorm alert has also been issued for the region, with wind speeds potentially hitting 40 to 50 km/h during the storm.
