Entertainment Desk, Indore. The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit, known as Waves, will be held from May 1 to May 4, 2025, at the Jio Convention Center in Mumbai. This event will mark a historic moment for the acclaimed TVF web series Panchayat.
This series will be celebrated for its innovative presentation of regional tales on a digital platform. A special session titled ‘Making of Panchayat: Grassroot Storytelling’ will take place on the third day, featuring lead actors such as Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and Faisal Malik.
Panchayat: A Glimpse into Rural India
- Panchayat tells the story of Abhishek Tripathi, an urban engineering graduate portrayed by Jitendra Kumar, who finds himself in the low-paying role of Gram Panchayat Secretary in the remote village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh.
- Unfamiliar with village culture, Abhishek’s journey is filled with humor, emotions, and social themes. The series features talented actors like Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghubir Yadav as Brij Bhushan Dubey, Faisal Malik as Prahlad Pandey, and Chandan Roy as Vikas Shukla, vividly bringing the series to life. Waves 2025: A Global Forum Celebrating Indian Heritage
- Waves 2025, organized by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, aims to highlight India’s spiritual heritage while promoting the creator economy. With the slogan “Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries,” the summit will host over 10,000 participants from more than 90 countries, including 1,000 creators, 300 companies, and 350 startups.
