**New Delhi:** Sonu Nigam faces accusations of delivering objectionable and inflammatory statements during a private concert in Bangalore. An FIR has been filed based on the complaint, with allegations that he promoted enmity among different groups, defamed individuals, and insulted religious or linguistic sentiments. The FIR claims that Nigam’s comments aimed to incite hatred between the Kannada-speaking community and other linguistic groups. In light of these accusations, he has released a video offering clarification.
In the video, Sonu Nigam mentioned that while there are acceptable ways to chant in support of a cause, there are instances where the shouting of “Kannada” comes off as threatening. He emphasized the difference in tone and noted that only a handful of individuals in the audience were shouting, while many others were urging them to calm down, including women who asked not to be disturbed.
