New Delhi. As we step into May 2025, automakers are beginning to release their sales figures for April. The competition to claim the second spot in the best-selling chart has been intense. Race for the Second Spot
Two Indian car manufacturers and one from Korea are fiercely vying for the second position in the Bestseller Chart (Brand-Waiz). Now that the brands have disclosed their sales numbers for April 2025, let’s see who has managed to rise to the occasion.
Maruti Maintains Its Top Position
While the competition for second place is heating up, Maruti has securely held onto its top position. The company reported total sales of approximately 138,000 units in April 2025. Mahindra has reclaimed the second spot with sales of 52,330 units last month, surpassing Hyundai. Tata Motors rounded out the top three with sales of 45,199 units. Hyundai, once in second place, dropped to fourth, with total sales of 44,374 units in April 2025.
Maruti Dominates the Top 10
We have previously published the list of the top 10 best-selling cars for April 2025. It is clear that Maruti has a stronghold on this list, boasting 7 models in the top 10, while Tata, Mahindra, and Hyundai each have one model represented. Additionally, the best-selling SUV of 2024 did not make it into the top 10 in April 2025. With several new launches on the horizon, we can expect further changes in the best-selling charts soon.
